For anyone looking to sell their property the first and most important question they have is “what is my property worth?”

At OpenAgent we created a powerful tool which allows sellers to find this out. While it has been a valuable lead generation tool for the business, it's worth noting that over the past five years, the tool experienced some neglect. This oversight led to a poor user experience and a loss of potential customers and revenue.

Insights

  1. When exploring the customer journey I realised that over the years we had built many paths for a user to take with additional questions and bloat even though they served no purpose within the business and provided no benefit to the customer

  2. 60-70% of traffic was using the experience on mobile

  3. The tool is a great lead magnet but the quality of leads isn’t always great

  4. Most users who make it to the digital valuation are satisfied, but many don’t make it

Our solution

As most users we’re satisfied with the valuation we focused our efforts on getting them there as quickly as possible.

We removed all unnecessary bloat in the question flow and optimised for mobile traffic making site speed faster. Added phone verification and owner verification to reduce spam and bad quality leads. Improved design.
